Evaluation of the Conformity of Care of Patients Hospitalized for Cervico-Facial Odontogenic Cellulitis in Yaounde-Cameroon

Introduction: Cervicofacial odontogenic cellulitis is a poly-bacterial inflammatory process of the cellulo-adipal tissue involving dental organ. The severity its clinical picture can compromise treatment and cause death. vital prognosis hospitalized patient depends on conformity his management conditions. It in this perspective that study was carried out with aim evaluating care patients hospitalised for cervico-facial Yaounde. Material method: This descriptive retrospective took place over 7 months during 2022, including all oral origin 3-year period, from 1er January 2019 to 31 December 2021 at Yaoundé Central Hospital (HCY), University (CHUY) Efoulan District (HDE). Socio-demographic characteristics, therapeutic aspects, compliance were recorded. Data collection done pre-designed form results processed analysed using SPSS version 26.0 Excel 2013. Results: Out 134 records collected, 67% male sex ratio 2.04. age range Age group [20-40] represented 56% cases. About 52.2% worked informal sector, followed by 25.4% pupils students. Trismus present 92.5% Cellulitis diffuse 81.3% cases, suppurative 73.9% acute 71.6%. Dual therapy 99.3% Penicillin 97.8% Imidazole used 69.4% cases; first level Paracetamol 94% as an analgesic.
